Every game, reviewed

1. Le Bandit (2023)

Released 24 August 2023, the series opener sets Smokey the Raccoon up as a moustachioed outlaw. Six reels, five rows, and Cluster Pays rather than fixed paylines, matching symbol groups cascade away to make room for new drops. The Golden Squares mechanic, which has since become a Hacksaw signature, reveals coin prizes as Rainbow symbols trigger during these cascades. RTP is 96.34%, Medium volatility, and a 10,000x max win.

2. Le Pharaoh (2024)

Released 26 September 2024, Smokey trades his bandit gear for Egyptian robes. The layout shifts to 19 fixed paylines rather than the original’s Cluster Pays, and two new mechanics join the returning Golden Squares: Sticky Redrops, which lock certain positions in place between spins, and a bonus-choice mechanic letting players pick their entry point into the feature round. RTP dips slightly to 96.18%, Medium volatility, and the max win climbs to 15,000x, the highest of the three games covered here in depth.

3. Le Viking (2025)

Released 16 January 2025, Smokey heads north for a Norse raiding adventure. This entry moves to a ways-to-win structure with up to 15,625 ways rather than fixed paylines, and introduces Raid Spins alongside four distinct free-spins modes, each applying its own grid-multiplier structure. RTP is 96.32%, Medium volatility, and the max win returns to 10,000x, a step back from Le Pharaoh’s ceiling despite the more elaborate feature set.

Smokey keeps travelling: the wider series

Hacksaw has kept releasing new Le-series games at a pace of roughly one per month since Le Viking: Le King (Elvis/Vegas theme, June 2025, 20,000x max win), Le Zeus (September 2025, 20,000x), Le Cowboy (November 2025, 25,000x, the highest ceiling in the series so far), Le Santa (a Christmas-themed entry, also November 2025), Le Fisherman (February 2026), Le Bunny (an Easter-themed entry, March 2026), Le Digger (May 2026), Le Football Fan (June 2026), and Le Prechaun (an Irish-themed entry, July 2026). Every entry keeps Medium volatility and Hacksaw’s Golden Squares mechanic in some form, with Smokey adopting a new costume and setting each time. We haven’t verified every one of these to the same depth as the three games reviewed above, since the series is still actively expanding as this page is being written.

History and legacy

Le Bandit launched what’s become one of the most prolific ongoing slot series we track, twelve confirmed games in under three years, with new entries still landing monthly as of this page’s last check. Hacksaw has kept up a similarly fast pace with other franchises too, including Chaos Crew. Rather than reinventing the wheel each time, Hacksaw keeps the Golden Squares mechanic and Medium volatility rating consistent while swapping Smokey’s costume, setting, and specific feature set for each release.

Why this matters for UK players

The pace of new releases means casino lobbies can carry very different subsets of the Le series at any given time, check which specific game you’re looking at rather than assuming lobby listings are complete or current.

Beyond the reels

Hacksaw Gaming holds UK Gambling Commission approval to supply its games to licensed British operators, confirmed via industry reporting on the licence grant.

What players say

Players who prefer a slightly higher win ceiling tend to favour Le Pharaoh’s 15,000x cap over the other two, while those drawn to a wider feature set gravitate to Le Viking’s four-mode free spins structure. Le Bandit still holds appeal as the series’ foundational entry, and some players specifically seek it out to see where the Golden Squares mechanic started.

Big wins: what we could verify

We checked BigWinBoard’s community-wins page and Casino.org’s biggest-wins roundup, and neither references any Le-series title specifically. We’re not aware of a documented, verifiable big win tied to this franchise, so we’re not repeating any unverified figure here.
