Clearing the board opens the free-spin choice: Love gives four spins, Star five and Storm eight. Their powers transform symbols, add wilds and remove symbols respectively. The selected power activates on non-winning free spins. The multiplier carries across spins up to x20; clearing the grid during the feature pays a separate 100 times the bet.

The choice combines an initial spin count with a particular way of changing the board. Comparing only the number of spins misses that second part.
