Launched 26 March 2020, the original is a 5×4, 40-line game whose wilds arrive with 2x, 3x or 5x multipliers attached, and when more than one wild sits in a win, the multipliers add together rather than multiply, a detail straight from Pragmatic’s own page. Three scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5 award eight free spins in which every multiplier wild on the middle reels sticks in place to the end of the round; sheriff badges retrigger 4, 8, 12 or 20 extra spins, and if the whole bonus somehow pays under 10x, the game tops the win up to that floor. 2. Wild West Gold Megaways (2022)
The 30 May 2022 sequel moves the saloon onto the licensed Megaways engine, up to 117,649 ways across six reels of shifting heights, while keeping the franchise’s heart intact: Pragmatic’s page confirms wild multipliers and a double-chance feature in the base game, with sticky wilds and retriggers in the bonus. The RTP eases fractionally to 96.44% (with 95.35% and 94.32% operator builds in circulation), and independent reviews put the cap at 5,000x, oddly the lowest of the three, a pattern Megaways conversions of payline hits seem doomed to repeat.
3. Wild West Gold Blazing Bounty (2025)
Released 2 June 2025, and confirmed by Pragmatic’s own launch announcement as an expansion of the Wild West Gold series, Blazing Bounty rebuilds the game a second time, onto a 5×5 grid where wins form as clusters of five or more connecting symbols. Wilds still land carrying 2x, 3x or 5x and still stack their values in shared wins; the bonus awards 10 free spins with sticky wilds whose multiplier bands scale with the triggering scatters, topping out at 10x, 25x per wild. Pragmatic prints the 7,500x max win on the game page itself, alongside a 96.48% top-build RTP. BigWinBoard’s data adds texture: a hit every 4.58 spins, a bonus roughly every 449, and max-win odds around 1 in 30.4 million.
Wild West Duels: the fourth game that isn’t
Wild West Duels (2023) shares Pragmatic Play, a frontier town and a love of wild reels, so it gets folded into this family constantly. The studio doesn’t do the folding: its own game page presents Duels as a standalone cowboy title, no “Wild West Gold” in the name, no series framing, while its Blazing Bounty announcement explicitly names the series it was expanding, and Duels isn’t in it. Mechanically the difference is real too: Duels is a 5×5, 15-line game at 96.00% RTP built on dig-for-wilds and duel bonuses with expanding wild reels, not the trilogy’s signature sticky multiplier wilds.
