Shining Crown: Wilds, Jackpot Cards and Similar Slots

Shining Crown combines ten fixed paylines with an expanding crown wild and a separate Jackpot Cards feature. The original Amusnet game, Clover Chance edition and Bell Link version need to be distinguished before comparing jackpots or rules.

Game Information
Check the win unit when comparing Shining Crown
Amusnet’s current Shining Crown listing describes five reels, ten fixed paylines, an expanding wild and Jackpot Cards. It gives the maximum-win unit as bet per line. That unit matters: a figure expressed per line cannot be compared directly with another game’s multiple of the total stake.
If it is the expanding wild that interests you, compare Starburst, whose wild expansion is tied to respins. That is a more specific connection than the classic fruit-and-gem appearance. Shining Crown’s Jackpot Cards feature remains a separate part of its design, so the games are not equivalent simply because both have expanding wilds.
How the line bet changes a payout
With ten fixed paylines, a £1 total stake corresponds to 10p on each line. A payout of 5,000 times that line bet would therefore be £500: 5,000 × £0.10. Expressed against the £1 total stake, that particular payout is 500x. This is a unit conversion for the listed line award, not a calculation of every possible combined win or the separate jackpot.
The original game manual says the bet buttons show the total for all ten lines. It also distinguishes simultaneous line wins from scatter awards, which are added to the total. Start with the stake unit before comparing two paytables. A large number labelled “bet per line” and a smaller number labelled “total bet” can describe the same cash amount.
Jackpot Cards and the red-or-black gamble
Picking three matching suits
Amusnet’s Jackpot Cards guide describes a randomly triggered bonus after a game round. It opens twelve face-down cards. You reveal them until three matching suits identify the jackpot level. The four suits are clubs, diamonds, hearts and spades, with spades representing the highest level in the original rules. The amount belongs to that jackpot pool, rather than the ordinary symbol paytable.
There are two separate events to understand: entering the mystery bonus, then revealing its level. Seeing a crown wild on the reels does not mean that three jackpot cards have been collected. Likewise, the four amounts above the original screenshot are jackpot counters, not four prizes paid by every spin. The jackpot result is added to the balance and cannot then be taken into the original game’s gamble feature.
The gamble risks an existing win
The red-or-black card screen has a different purpose. Where that optional feature is available, a correct colour prediction doubles the amount being gambled; an incorrect prediction loses it. Collect ends the gamble and transfers the current win to the balance. The manual’s card history records previous selections, while the attempts display shows the remaining opportunities. Neither is a promise about the next card.
For example, gambling a £4 win means risking that £4 for an £8 result. It does not add a free £4 on top of money already collected. This differs from the mystery jackpot, where the card picks reveal the awarded level. The similar card imagery should not obscure the difference between receiving a jackpot and choosing to risk a reel win.
Which Shining Crown version are you comparing?
Jackpot Cards, Clover Chance and Bell Link
The original screenshot on this page shows card-suit counters above a five-by-three fruit grid. By contrast, the EGT Digital Shining Crown manual describes Clover Chance. That version keeps ten fixed lines but uses a fifteen-chest jackpot selection with pearls and clover symbols. Its four levels are Mini, Minor, Major and Grand. Those chest rules should not be used to explain the twelve-card screen.
40 Shining Crown Bell Link changes more than the jackpot label. EGT Digital lists five reels, four rows and forty fixed lines, together with Bell Link, Reels Booster and a Bell Link multiplier. It is a different layout from the ten-line game covered here. When comparing a screenshot, first check its row count and line badge, then its jackpot name. That makes it easier to spot a different edition before relying on its feature description.
Starburst for wild expansion and respins
Starburst is a closer comparison for reel-filling wilds than a game chosen only for a wealth theme. NetEnt describes its expanding wild as filling a reel and triggering a respin. The feature therefore changes both the symbols on a reel and what happens next. Shining Crown’s listed expanding wild and its separate Jackpot Cards feature should be considered individually when making that comparison.
Starburst also uses a five-by-three layout and ten paylines, making the basic screen size familiar. Its gem artwork differs from Shining Crown’s fruit, bell and crown symbols. Compare Starburst for the wild-and-respin sequence; use the version guide above when the mystery jackpot is the part of Shining Crown you want to understand. A matching reel count alone says little about the bonus structure.
Games like Shining Crown
For a closer comparison, separate reel play from the jackpot. Rebets Splendour adds an individual-reel respin, Red Mansions offers an optional ways calculation, and the newer 88 Fortunes configuration uses a different jackpot picker. Rich Girl supplies a visual contrast in classic symbols, rather than a demonstrated match for Jackpot Cards. The sections below explain the distinction instead of ranking these games by an assumed session length.

Eyecon’s Rebets Splendour has five reels, three rows and twenty-five lines. Its published 97% RTP and medium volatility describe that supplier configuration, not a guaranteed return on a visit. Three Dapper Gentleman scatters trigger free games, while the respin option concerns individual reels. Check the price shown for a respin before treating it as an awarded extra spin. The wealth imagery of yachts, jewellery and gold connects the setting to Shining Crown; the control over which reel to respin is the more useful mechanical distinction. An optional respin is also separate from Shining Crown’s red-or-black gamble: one produces another reel outcome, while the other risks an existing award on a card prediction. Neither feature supplies knowledge of the next result. Reel Splitter is another catalogue route, but its name does not establish identical pricing or rules.

IGT’s Red Mansions rules describe forty paylines plus an optional 1,024-ways feature. It is therefore incomplete to describe the game simply as 1,024 ways. With the ways option active, matching symbols in adjacent columns are counted from the left, and multiple matches in one column can create additional combinations. Two or more bonus symbols in the middle column start free spins, with the same position relevant to retriggers. This is a positional trigger rather than three scatters anywhere. Compared with Shining Crown’s ten lines, Red Mansions asks the reader to follow both the selected betting mode and a different bonus condition. The mansion and wealth imagery is secondary to those differences. Do not infer a lower-risk session from the artwork, line count or an unsourced volatility comparison. Rich Panda belongs to the wider themed catalogue, not to these exact Red Mansions rules.

Rich Girl is the classic-symbol visual alternative in this selection. Its genuine game screen shows fruit, two character portraits and a Diamond Run symbol on five reels. That screen should not be confused with Rich Panda’s green-and-gold artwork, nor with IGT’s separately named She’s a Rich Girl, whose published rules describe nine paylines and 2x wilds. Similar titles do not justify transferring a paytable from one to the other. Against Shining Crown, the useful visible comparison is how the theme is carried by the symbols: characters and fruit on Rich Girl, fruit and the expanding crown on Shining Crown. For the explained jackpot mechanic, compare the named Shining Crown editions above or 88 Fortunes below. Rich Girl and Jean Wealth remain broader theme routes; neither is presented as an equivalent to Jackpot Cards or as a way to make a stake last longer.

The 2025 Light & Wonder listing for 88 Fortunes identifies a five-reel, 243-ways configuration with free spins and a Fu Bat jackpot pick. It lists four static jackpots, named Mini, Minor, Major and Grand. That wording matters: four named jackpot tiers do not by themselves establish four growing progressive pools. Its published RTP options range from 87% to 96%, so 96% is one configuration rather than a universal setting. The structural comparison with Shining Crown is a separate jackpot event alongside ordinary reel play. The difference is the Fu Bat feature and ways-based combinations, compared with Shining Crown’s ten lines and card-suit match. The same franchise also has 88 Fortunes Megaways, which uses changing ways and cascades. Keep that edition separate from the 243-ways game and from the newer static-jackpot listing.
More slots along the lines of Shining Crown
Shining Crown’s fruit, bells and seven symbols give it a classic-machine appearance. The expanding crown and separate card jackpot add events beyond ordinary line wins. For similar-looking games, browse the wealth selection; for the same kind of calculation, compare ten-line formats and check their wild rules individually.
Our favourite Wealth slots
Rich Geyser, Jean Wealth, Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers, Red Mansions, 250K Deluxe and Towering Fortunes broaden the wealth theme. The cover images connect settings, not paytables. In particular, a cash amount in a game title is not enough to identify whether a prize is fixed, progressive or expressed as a multiple of stake.

EGT games similar to Shining Crown
Shining Crown appears in the EGT catalogue on this site, while Amusnet carries the online Jackpot Cards version. EGT Interactive announced its rebrand to Amusnet Interactive in 2022. EGT Digital also publishes games using the Shining Crown name, with different jackpot systems. The supplier name and jackpot label in the game help identify the edition; an EGT label alone is not enough to assume every feature is identical.
100 Super Hot, 2 Dragons, Dragons Reels and 100 Super Dice are further catalogue routes under the EGT label. Check the exact supplier and jackpot system in each game. The Shining Crown name itself demonstrates why the label alone cannot settle the rules: Amusnet’s Jackpot Cards and EGT Digital’s Clover Chance are different systems.

Online slots with the same features as Shining Crown
The separate Jackpot Cards event and optional gamble explain two different category links below. The first reveals cards towards a suit match; the second risks an existing win on a prediction. Neither should be described as the other.
Slots with Progressive Jackpot
Monte Carlo Classic, Tivoli Bonanza, Joker’s Jewels and Love Boat appear in the wider catalogue selection. This is not a verified list of matching progressive jackpots: the original Joker’s Jewels is a five-line fruit game. Compare the actual jackpot name and rules rather than assuming that every card in this group offers one.

Games with Gamble Feature
Route of Mexico and Santa Surprise are further catalogue choices associated with a gamble option. A gamble can risk an existing award; its colour, suit or other prediction rules must be read separately from any reel feature.

Two card events, two different questions
A card image on the screen does not always mean the same decision. In Jackpot Cards, the revealed suits determine which jackpot tier completes. In the optional gamble, the question is whether a prediction matches the next card. Keep the amount already won separate from a prize that has not yet been revealed.
For example, staking a £4 reel award on a double-or-nothing colour prediction puts that £4 at risk: a successful double would produce £8, while a loss would remove the risked award. This arithmetic explains the choice; it does not calculate the chance of reaching a Jackpot Cards tier. The two events have different entry conditions and resolve different questions. A history of red cards does not make black due on the next prediction.
